Roasted Mealworms

Roasted mealworms smell like roasted peanuts and are crispy like nuts.  In fact, baked mealworms are a great substitute for nuts.

1 cup lively mealworms (obtain at the local pet store or biology lab)

1 cookie sheet

1 freezer

1 oven (preheated about 350 degrees F)

1 blender or sharp knife

Freeze the little critters.  Spread them on a cookie sheet.  Cool.  Chop coarsely (as you would for nuts).  I like to chop very coarsely so that people can still see the mealworm parts.
