Help
Decide if people in your city are using safe practices to prevent spread of the pathogen. Use the orange and grey sliders to select the portion of the population that actually follows safety precautions as directed. Choose start and end dates for the safety measures. You can choose not to use any safety measures.

Safety

How careful is your population?

The spread of COVID-19 can be reduced with some safer practices. Wearing a mask or distancing from each other are two major steps. Decide if your population practices these safety precautions below.

Masks

Wearing masks lowers the chances that an infected person will spread the virus to others.

Some masks are better than others. Select a mask type.

Choose a day from 0 to 365 to start and end mask wearing. The start day must be before the end day. In many places, masks were not used widely until at least 60 days after the COVID-19 pandemic started.

Distancing

Staying at least 6 feet away from those outside your household prevents the spread of this virus.

Social distancing is hard to do, but helpful in fighting the spread of COVID-19. If someone visits closely with others outside of their quarantine bubble, the bubble has been popped.
